IIMTians in terms of training and placement have established good rapport with leading corporate houses, R&D organizations, public undertakings to private sector MNC's. The Institute has an active Placement and Training Cell which take care about the placement of the students and also provide the students to go for their summer training with the reputed organizations, corporates and law firms. Many reputed organizations visit the institute for placement of the students.
The Ideal Training and Placement Cell (ITPC) is actively working in three different areas:
1. Providing Placement opportunities for the Final Year students. The cell facilitates the process by providing the leads and information to the students and organising On-campus Placement Drives, Off-campus Placement Interviews, Job Fairs and sharing details with students about Central Placements organized through GGSIP University. The Cell also organises Career Counselling sessions for students. On 29th September, 2021, a Career Counselling Session was organised, in association with TIME to make students aware of various higher education options available for students after BBA in India and Abroad. The session was taken by Mr. Abhishek Vyas, Regional Head, TIME.
On 16th September 2021, Internal Seminar on “An overview of the proceeding of the Court—A comparative Perspective of India and UK” for BALLB students was organized . The session was taken by Sh. Harjot Singh, Director, Twinwood Law Practice Ltd., Birmingham, U.K.
On 4th October, 2021, Online Career Counselling Session on ‘CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR LAW GRADUATES’was organised for BALLB students in association with Indian Law Watch. The resource person was Ms. Jyoti Srivastava, CEO, Indian Law Watch, Legal News, Analysis and Development Portal.
On 19th February, 2022, a workshop on the topic “Understanding the Crucial Aspects of Court Internship and Proficiency in Dissertation Writing” organized by Law Placement Cell for BALLB students. The speakers of the workshop were Prof. (Dr.) Arun Gupta, Principal, School of Law and Prof. (Dr.) Hemlata Sharma, Vice Principal, School of Law.
On 3rd March, 2022, a Career Counselling Session was organised in collaboration with AVODHA , whose objective is to provide education for a job. Ms. Harsha Mathews was the lead speaker.
On 8th March, 2022, ITPC along with Entrepreneurship Development Cell organised an activity for students titled, “Venture Cup” (How to Pitch your creative idea). The Judge for the event was Mr. Ankit Kapoor, an alumnus of our institute.
We also conducted two workshops, namely, on “Financial Planning” and Predictive Analytics” on 3rd April, 2022 and 17th April, 2022 respectively. Both the workshops were organised online in association with IMS Pro-school.
On 22nd April, 2022, Career Counselling Session on ‘Career Guidance for Law Students’ organized by Law Placement Cell. The session was taken by Mr. Vishal Singh, Assistant Commissioner, CGST and CX.
2. Providing 100% Internship openings to the students. This year we are coordinating with the companies online and have already been successful in providing the internships to most of our students. Our Alumni also helped in providing internships to our students.(namely at Aim India and Store Incharge
3. Organising Alumni Engagement Activities: The cell works to keep in touch with the alumni through various engagement programmes. An Alumni Talk cum webinar was organised on the topic , “ Social Entrepreneurship” on 7th October, 2021. The session was taken by our alumnus Dr. Nitika Sharma , currently working as Assistant Professor and Incharge, Incubation Centre, Christ University. The second Online / Virtual Alumni Meet was organised on 11th December, 2021. More than 90 alumni joined the meet and many shared their journey after graduation. The names of the members of Ideal Alumni Association were also announced in the meet.
Since most of the placement activities have been conducted online since March 2020, there were very few On Campus Placement Drives. We received ample support from the Central Career Guidance & Placement Cell of the GGSIPU for the placements & internships of the students
A Campus placement Drive was organised in collaboration with Rozgaar.com for two companies, namely BYJU’s and Coolboots on 14th March, 2022.7 students were shortlisted for BYJU’s and 1 for Coolboots.
Another Campus Placement Drive was organised on 8th April, 2022 in collaboration with ICICI Prudential and 3 students were finally selected for placement.

The normal CTC offered to our students ranged between Rs.1.75 lacs to Rs. 4.80 lacs pa. The highest CTC this year was Rs. 6.60 lacs pa offered by Winspark Innovations Learnings Pvt. Ltd.
The students of BBA-5th Semester and BBA( CAM) -3rd and 5th Semester have to undergo Summer Internships/ Industrial Trainings as a compulsory component of their curricullum and because of the restrictions arising due to COVID 19,most of the students had to opt for online training .
The students underwent summer internships and industrial trainings at organisations like, AIM India, Insplore, Capital Box , Bridge Group, Future Era, Store Incharge, Viral Fission, Frontrow, Younity.Ltd, Webbrains, Help Social Welfare Society, Talent Corner HR Service Pvt. Training & Placement cell at IIMT is to facilitate hundred percent transition of students from academia to their job lives with the help of various student centric development programs throughout their undergraduate course.
Placement & Training Cell has been functioning under the supervision of Sr. Faculty members. The BBA students are sent to various companies like Mother Dairy, FCI, PNB, Essar Steel, IRCTC,HPCL, IOCL,BHEL,DMRC, ICICI Prudential, Bharti Axa, HDFC ,Max New York, Bajaj Capital ,Standard Chartered, Reliance Comm, HCL, Airtel, Earth Infrastructure etc for summer training.

Job Fair was organized by IIMT & School of Law on 25th and 26th July 2015. It was a great success. Both IIMTians and outsiders have participated in this with full swing. Following companies visited the fair.
The overall response was good. The average package was between 2.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh per annum.

That majority of the students who have passed out during the academic session 2015-2016 joined the profession at several courts in Delhi including High Court and the Supreme Court of India with various law firms and the senior individual advocates.
That around 5% students have joined either the higher studies ( LLM ) at abroad in various universities in USA, UK and the European countries or have joined the coaching classes preparing for judicial services for different states.
That around 15% students has preferred neither the profession nor the higher studies due to their family business and has joined the same. That the trend among the students passed out during the academic years 2016-17 and 2017-18 continue to remain more or less the same.
