PARA LEGAL VOLUNTEER TRAINING (For Law Students)

The Legal Aid Clinic of the Ideal Institute of Management and Technology under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organises a training session for the Para-Legal Volunteers/ New Students. Every year with an indispensable need to educate the society, especially those who are yet not aware about their respective Fundamental and Legal rights that they can avail. The training is two day extensive training in which maximum sessions were taken by Judges of various District/Session Courts The prime objectives of this training were:

1. To enhance legal literacy amongst the poor and down-trodden;
2. To ensure that the trainees are service oriented
.
3. To accomplish the motto of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), i.e., Justice to All.

After the successful completion of training participants/students become PLVs and become eligible to perform the duties assigned by DSLSA. PLVs also get remuneration for the activities performed. The Para legal volunteers of IIMT reaches the community at large through its various service activities in association with various DLSAs.
